This statement applies to reusable shopping bags, carrier bags and related products placed on the European Union market by Premium Ecobags Kft. where, based on their intended use and function, they qualify as packaging within the scope of the PPWR.
Applicable regulatory framework
Depending on the product, intended use, material composition and economic-operator role, our compliance assessment takes account in particular of the following legislation.
Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, including requirements relating to packaging design, conformity, recyclability, marking and waste management.
EU chemicals legislation where applicable to the material or product.
Restrictions concerning persistent organic pollutants where relevant to the product or material.
Other EU and Hungarian rules applicable to the product, composition, intended use, marking and placing on the market.
Material safety and substances of concern
In line with Article 5 of the PPWR, packaging design must minimise the presence and concentration of substances of concern. Requirements are evaluated according to the material composition and risk profile of each product.
Regulated heavy metals: Lead • Cadmium • Mercury • Hexavalent chromium ≤ 100 mg/kg
Depending on the product and risk, compliance may be supported by supplier declarations, material specifications, laboratory testing and other relevant technical evidence.
Recyclability and environmentally conscious design
Our product development aims to support recyclability, material efficiency, durability and repeated use. Intended use, service life and material structure are considered in product design.
“100% recycled”, “100% recycled material” or other specific environmental claims are used only for products where the relevant claim is supported by appropriate documentation.
Products designed for repeated use
A significant part of our portfolio consists of durable shopping and carrier bags designed for repeated use. Where a product qualifies as reusable packaging under the PPWR, its conformity is assessed against the applicable requirements and the product's actual technical characteristics.
Technical documentation and traceability
Premium Ecobags Kft. maintains technical and traceability information for relevant products within its internal documentation system.
- Product specification: product name, internal identifier, dimensions, construction and basic technical parameters.
- Material composition: base materials, laminated or additional components and relevant material data.
- Supplier documentation: manufacturer declarations, conformity evidence and available certificates.
- Testing background: laboratory or other product-specific test documentation where required.
- Recycled-material content: supporting evidence for related claims where applicable.
- GTIN / EAN: commercial product identification where applicable.
- Internal product ID: internal traceability and PPWR-documentation identifier.
This public page does not contain confidential laboratory, manufacturer, supplier or commercial documents. Such supporting materials are maintained in the company's internal compliance system.
Supplier and quality-assurance background
Depending on the product, manufacturer and supply chain, supporting documentation may include quality-management, social-compliance or recycled-content certifications and audit documents.
These documents may support supplier control and quality assurance but do not in themselves replace product-specific conformity assessment where such assessment is required.
Document management and review
Premium Ecobags Kft. reviews this information when necessary, including in response to legal or technical changes, new product or material groups, or new compliance documentation.
Product-specific compliance is always determined on the basis of the current technical data and evidence available for that product. Where requested by a competent market-surveillance or other authority, the company cooperates in accordance with the applicable legislation.
